More journalling and a story...

Michelle Ward has inspired so many of us to get out there and journal this month and I am no exception. I am new to this but have done several pages and feel more and more liberated with each page I do. Here are a couple more pages from my art journal then and all inspired by a walk between keyhaven and Lymington...such a beautiful part of the world and it just so happens that it is only a short drive for me.

My story...

The other day I got to thinking that I needed a basis for this journalling lark as I find it so hard to start with just a blank page. My eyes skimmed the room and soon focused on this little moleskin journal which I have had for several years and was full of completely useless notes. I decided to claim back the pages and was soon sticking scraps of scrapbooking paper in a totally random fashion over its pages. So I have a prepped book ready to play with.

I love quotes and was soon adding them to some of the pages...the aim being that when out and about I can take these half done pages and add to them. Here are a couple finished

And another waiting to be worked on

So Michelle, I have taken giant leaps this month...I thank you!

Julie - glad to know you are in the position to leap and leap and leap. Feels good doesn't it? With each one you feel more comfortable and land with less of a tremble, don't you think? No more little steps....Thanks for sharing with the team.

Hi Julie,
those pages look GREAT!!! And you had the booklet for your journaling already, but now it has a real goal. Indeed a leap (a QUANTUM leap ;-))

Very cool that you repurposed a journal and made something creative out of it. Wasn't this a great Crusade? It's amazing how much it inspired people to just get out there and create. Your journal pages are great. I confess they made me a little envious. It looks like spring has already sprung in England. We're still getting snow! -- JeriAnn

You are so good, figuring out how to conquer the blank page. I have a hard time with this, and plan to prepare my pages a bit before using my travel journal. You've done nice work with this! It is very freeing, isn't it..

Well done! Your pages look great and it's a good use for all those quotes we've "collected"; I also love collecting quotes, so this may be a good place to start.

Very inspirational Julie and just how I imagine I want my journal if I can just get over my self consciousness - at the moment I am journalling... but in my head! :P
