Pieces of Life!!

I have been doing Jen Hall's Pieces of Life class which has been brilliant! Each day she uploads a prompt together with her page from the mini book as well as an extra project and I have to say this has been the nicest class I have ever done. I often find I sign up to do classes and then once committed I struggle to keep up but with this class I have felt inspired every day! Here are my first few pages. For others doing the class you will notice some of them are missing, this is because they contain photos of my nephew and step-grandaughter and I am not happy about uploading them without permission. I will put the next few pages on the next post!

True Colors

I had this for xmas...what a fabulous book! Its difficult to get hold of over here in the UK so I ordered it from Amazon.com and then gave it to my hubby to give me for xmas. I have read it from front to back twice already. So much talent in there and so many ideas for 'creating'. My team on UKS are doing a team CJ so I am thinking I will go with colors as my theme. Having seen what people have come up with in this book, I really think its a goer and feel quite excited about starting!

Finished!!!!!

The Deck of Me which I started with Emily Falconbridge is now over... I really cannot believe how fast that year has gone. So here are the final cards as well as the lovely box I found to keep them in.

I had a lot of fun doing this and I think my main lesson has been that 'Art' is personal...I don't have to conform to what others consider to be art...I can just do my own thing and as long as I like it then thats all that matters. The saying on the final card was a quote by Goethe and I think its very pertinent to how I feel.
