I have finished my cover for the Shakespearean CJ and just need to concentrate on the inside now. Meanwhile I promised myself that I would have a go at Jen Halls sketch on pencil lines and here it is!

Just done this layout from the Scrapping Angels July kit and various other bits and pieces...I am very into layering flowers at the moment so enjoyed doing it. I notice that Jen Hall is guest designer on Pencil Lines this week...so will definately have a go at that one cos I really love her style.

Little scrapbooking has been done this week but I did receive my July Scrapping Angels kit and when I looked at the pdf on the site, it seems I have won the layout of the month for June! Wow! Isn't it great when something like that happens? So I have a 'Beyond the page mini book kit' on its way to me as a prize.

I didn't get anywhere with the Masterchef design team challenge, in fact I got knocked out at the first round which was a little disappointing because I really wanted to have a go at the second round challenge which was just using ribbon and cardstock. Having said that there were some terrific entries so good luck to everyone who did get through. I for one can't wait to see what they have all come up with and will certainly be voting when the entries are unvieled.

Been busy the last few days...managed to finish all my layouts for the Best of British Scrapbooking so just need to do the accompanying email and send it off! Really pleased that I made the decision to enter it because I really feel like I have accomplished something. As they say...its the journey which is important...not the end result...so I journeyed! I did some doodling and some stitching, both of which I have pretty much avoided in the past.

Today was also pretty exciting cos I found yet another scrapbooking shop within a short distance of my house! Thats two now...dangerous!

So I find myself about to embark on not one but two Circle Journals, the first is about Shakespeare and the second is for people about to embark on their 50th year. With my 49th coming up in August...how could I resist?

I did participate in a circle journal which finished a couple of months ago and whilst I found it tiresome sometimes I also found it extremely rewarding and I do treasure that little book...it was about the Moon last time...a topic I find fascinating ever since I did my OU degree and had to measure its distance from the Earth with a long stick, some blue tac, a 2p coin and a lot of Maths!!!

So during the next few weeks I need to get these CJ's made and my entries done so I will be ready to go by mid-August.

Busy Days...

I seriously love this lady http://jenhall.typepad.com/

I first noticed her work in an Australian Scrapbooking Mag and just love her funky style...she is just such a natural imo. Now I have found her blog and I just love to visit her. Just check her out.

On another note, I have decided to enter layouts in the Scrapbooker of the Year competition (newbie section) advertised in the Scrapbook Inspirations mag... I just think you gotta be in it to win it...so decided to take the plunge...probably a complete waste of time but just entering these things makes me really concentrate on my lay-outs so it has to be a good thing. So as of today, I have five unseen lay-outs to enter and need to get another one done before the 23rd.
